BOY SEX SLAVES
THE BOY SEX SLAVES; KIDS OF SIX LURED INTO PROSTITUTION WITH GIFTS FROM
PIMPS AT 'HONEY-TRAP' HOMES
Nicola Porter
BOYS as young as six are being lured into prostitution in Wales - a new report reveals.

Policemen, vicars and doctors are among those paying for under-age sex, the survey
claims.

It also reveals pimps are treating child prostitutes as "human traffic" - moving them on once
they are no longer attractive to regular punters.

Children's charity Barnardo's has called for a tougher stance to be taken against the pimps.

Barnardo's researcher Tink Palmer said: "Boys as young as six are being targeted and
groomed with offers of treats.

"Goodies on offer may be computer games, designer trainers, videos or Pokemon cards
but they can also include drugs, alcohol and gaming machines.

"Many of the boys come from homes where they have been abused or neglected.

"They have been enticed into homes while left to roam the streets by neglectful parents."

He added: "They might not sleep there - but are attracted by the promise of gifts they
would never receive from their parents. It's almost like a honey trap.

"Many boys provided with a roof over their heads have run away from abusive homes or
been in local authority care.

"After possibly years of abuse the rent boys can reach a sell-by date where they are no
longer attractive to men."

He went on: "Research shows most of the punters are in their late 20s to early 50s and
include bank managers, doctors, policemen, vicars and schoolteachers.

"They range from married men, bi-sexuals and those not confident enough to be
homosexual."

In the report, No Son Of Mine, 123 school-aged rent boys were interviewed by researchers.

SEVEN MEN CHARGED IN EDEN PRAIRIE PROSTITUTION RING

MINNEAPOLIS

Seven men have been charged with operating a prostitution ring that ran brothels out of
apartments in Eden Prairie, according to a federal indictment unsealed Tuesday.

The 37-count indictment accuses John Nguyen, 44, who is jailed on unrelated drug
charges in Vietnam, of recruiting women to work at brothels operated out of Minnesota
apartment complexes. It accuses six other men of shuttling the women and customers to
the brothels.

In a related indictment unsealed Tuesday, two men - one from Las Vegas and one from
Minnetonka - were charged with running a similar prostitution operation out of an apartment
near the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

The Las Vegas man, Thuan Hoa To, 35, worked for Nguyen and then allegedly broke off
and started his own ring, officials said Tuesday.

None of the men is in custody, and one of the men was charged in both indictments.

The indictments are the latest in a series of charges tied to a two-year federal probe
dubbed Operation Jade Blade. Authorities believe the women were smuggled from various
Asian countries into the United States.
